The Planning and Political Support area is tasked with providing guidance, support, and service to the management, elected officials, core activities, and relevant external stakeholders of Region Västernorrland based on the specific requirements and conditions of each function and unit.

We are now looking for an information security strategist for the Planning and Political Support area in Härnösand. Remote work is possible. The position is a permanent full-time employment, with immediate start according to agreement.

Information Security Strategist Case Management & Political Support, Härnösand Responsibilities

The information security strategist will work closely with IT security and regional lawyers and will have primary responsibility for:

• Establishing, managing, and further developing the region's management system for information security
• Developing, implementing, and following up on governing documents, policies, processes, and routines
• Leading and coordinating risk analyses, information classification, and security reviews
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, such as PDL, OSL, and NIS2
• Conducting training and information initiatives to raise awareness within the organization
• Providing support in developing requirements for procurements, PuB agreements, and RFIs related to information security

We are looking for someone who

• Has completed the Civil Defense Agency's training Method Support for Information Security and/or certification specifically in information security
• Has at least five years of work experience in similar roles
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form

It is an advantage if you

• Have a university degree in fields such as information technology, computer science, IT security, or law
• Have experience in organizing, leading, and following up on compliance with ISO standards for information security
• Have experience in organizing, leading, and following up on compliance with information security in the public sector
• Have experience in organizing, leading, and following up on compliance with information security in healthcare
