RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Operations Technician, you will play a key role in our IT operations and be responsible for the operation of our virtual server environment with a focus on VMware and Windows servers. You will work closely with other technicians and system managers to ensure high availability and stability in our operational environments. You are also expected to manage and troubleshoot network components and streamline operational processes through scripting, where experience with PowerShell is particularly valuable.

The role combines stable operations with a clear focus on documentation, security, and continuous improvements.

Examples of tasks:

• Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of VMware and Windows Server environments.
• Automation of routine tasks using PowerShell.
• Perform troubleshooting and provide support in large operational environments.
• Collaborate with network technicians to manage and resolve network-related issues.
• Participate in and contribute to development projects within IT infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is solution-oriented, structured, and has a strong technical interest. You work independently, take responsibility for your work, and have a desire to continuously develop. Your analytical ability allows you to quickly find solutions and work proactively to improve the operational environment.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience with VMware and Windows servers.
• Documented knowledge of the operation and maintenance of larger IT environments.
• Experience with scripting in PowerShell.

Desirable experiences:

• Previous work in large operational environments.
• In-depth knowledge of networks, e.g., routing, switching, and firewalls.
• Experience from the public sector.
