IT Technician at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency
Every year, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency makes 21 million decisions that affect people's lives and society as a whole. We disburse approximately 260 billion SEK each year. These are the tax funds we manage. It is a significant responsibility. Therefore, we think innovatively and use the latest technology to simplify and improve, develop and deliver IT services for the Swedish social insurance system. Do you want to help shape the future of integration solutions at one of Sweden's largest authorities? The integration team at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency plays a crucial role in ensuring that our IT services function smoothly and reliably – every day, for millions of users. The unit is also responsible for two national integration platforms for European cooperation. We are now looking for an IT technician who wants to contribute to developing our integration solutions and creating the conditions for connecting IT systems within Sweden, Europe, and globally.
Production, Management, and Integration Solutions
The Integration unit is responsible for the development, operation, and management of our three integration products. These run on Linux and support the most common protocol standards for integration. Our systems handle over 2,000,000 messages per day, and our services are used by the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and other authorities to communicate both within and outside of Sweden.
We are currently in an expansive phase and need to grow to meet the increasing demand for integration solutions. As an IT technician in the integration team, you will be responsible for establishing and operating a variety of integrations. You will be part of an engaged team currently consisting of 13 employees who together are responsible for the availability and stability of our products and providing support to other units. The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high level of security awareness.

We are looking for someone who
- has a university degree in IT or equivalent experience and qualifications
- has work experience in Linux-based environments
- acts on their own initiative and takes responsibility for achieving good results
- collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals
- has good communication skills, both verbal and written
- has a systematic and meticulous working style
- can understand and analyze complex issues
- has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is advantageous if you have
The following software and protocols are used within the unit. Equivalent software will also be considered advantageous.
- experience working with integration solutions in large organizations
- experience in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT systems
- deep knowledge of Linux (RHEL)
- knowledge of PKI and certificates
- knowledge of scripting (Bash)
- knowledge of networking and traffic management (F5 Big-IP)
- knowledge of automation (AWX, Ansible)
- knowledge of system operation on container platforms
- knowledge of Java application servers (WildFly, Apache TomCat)
- knowledge of database management systems (DB2, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- knowledge of integration engines (iipax com)
- knowledge of integration protocols (e.g., REST, SOAP).

Other Information
