Sundsvall Municipality is now looking for an engaged and curious escalation technician for second-line support who wants to contribute to our IT operations and digital development.

Your contribution as an Escalation Technician

As an escalation technician, you will be an important part of our team and primarily work with second-line support focusing on incident management of IT technical problems and cases.

Your role includes:

  • Troubleshooting and resolving incoming IT cases from the municipality's employees.
  • Participating in development and improvement work.
  • Being the spider in the web during ongoing IT incidents.
  • Contributing to the development and further development of automation solutions.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a high school education in IT or equivalent professional experience deemed comparable.
  • Has experience in IT support and working in ITIL-based processes.
  • Has an interest in troubleshooting and problem-solving within IT environments.
  • Has good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form and can also express themselves well in English, both orally and in writing.

Desirable knowledge and experience:

  • Professional experience from technical support, service desk, or IT operations, preferably from second-line support.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows environments, networks, or client management.
  • Knowledge of ITIL, incident, and problem management.

As a person, we are looking for someone who is self-driven and has the ability to structure and drive their work towards the best possible solution. Furthermore, you have a flexible approach and a good ability to prioritize.

Since the work involves close collaboration with others in the team, we see that you are attentive and accommodating, and that you always prioritize service when handling cases. Finally, you have a strong drive to solve the problems you face and think creatively about how to achieve the best solutions. - We place great emphasis on personal suitability!

About the recruitment process

Employment with us means placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
