Your New Workplace

Sundsvall Elnät is not just a part of Sundsvall's infrastructure; we are its backbone.

With over 100 years of experience and more than 27,000 private customers as well as 700 business and industrial customers, we know what it takes to keep Sundsvall illuminated and functional. We are now looking for you who want to help write the next chapter in our success story.

As an employee of Sundsvall Elnät, you will also perform tasks in Servanet, as we share the organization.

Servanet is also a municipal company operating in the five municipalities of Sundsvall, Härnösand, Timrå, Ånge, and Strömsund - with its headquarters in Sundsvall. We operate, maintain, and develop the fiber network in the municipalities while simplifying everyday life and enabling digital development with new technology.

Your Contribution as a Systems Specialist

Do you want a central role in ensuring that our business systems function optimally? We are now looking for you – our new colleague focused on managing and further developing the business systems used in our important community mission.

To strengthen our ability to manage, develop, and utilize our business systems in the long term, we are now establishing a team-based system management function, with three areas of expertise consisting of business-oriented, system technical, and information/data management. Together, you will drive the daily work to ensure that the business systems meet the requested needs. This role focuses on ensuring that the information and data handled in the systems are correct, accessible, traceable, and usable over time. You will work closely with the business and the other two system managers to create structure, quality, and long-term benefits from our information resources.

You are responsible for ensuring and developing information and data quality in our business systems by defining, structuring, and managing concepts, information objects, and metadata. The role entails responsibility for ensuring that information is correct, consistent, and unambiguously described, as well as that information structures and data models support the business processes, monitoring, and long-term needs.

The role also includes driving and following up on the work with data quality measurement by identifying relevant quality dimensions, analyzing deviations, and translating insights into concrete improvement measures. Together with the core business, you will identify root causes of poor data quality, prioritize actions, and ensure that improvements are implemented and achieve the intended effect over time.

You will act as support to the business in matters concerning information ownership and data responsibility, as well as guide on how data can be used for monitoring, analysis, and decision support. The role also involves actively participating in change and development initiatives for our systems, where you ensure that the information and data perspective is considered when introducing new functions, integrations, and migrations, so that the solutions support needs and information flows in the long term.

Your Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone who:

  • has at least a three-year academic education in IT, such as system science or another relevant education, or equivalent work experience in the field
  • has knowledge of business processes and process descriptions
  • has a basic understanding of information modeling and information architecture
  • communicates clearly and directly, both in Swedish and English, in speech and writing

It is an advantage if you have:

  • current experience working as a system manager
  • understanding of how information flows between systems, including integrations
  • knowledge of the information lifecycle - how it is created, changes over time, and is preserved or discarded
  • experience participating in projects delivering new business systems, with primary responsibility for managing the reception of management
  • knowledge of pm3 or another management model
  • knowledge of economic concepts

We place great importance on your personal qualities and are looking for someone who is:

  • structured and driven to achieve results and set goals
  • proactive and independent, with a good ability to prioritize
  • solution-oriented and able to navigate in a complex structure
  • pedagogical, with the ability to translate system management into business benefits
  • collaborative and relationship-building

Welcome with your application!
