Project Manager for the Development Department

Responsibilities

As a project manager with us, you will lead and drive projects and support colleagues in various contexts. Projects range from smaller initiatives of 100 hours to large efforts involving hundreds of people.

Your responsibilities include everything from the initial dialogue with the client to ensuring that all completion criteria are met. In addition to leading projects, you will contribute to the development and implementation of the municipality's project model (PPS) and help develop our new project office and the portfolio we manage. As a project manager in the development department, you will focus on projects that are closely related to the municipality's core operations and work closely with specialists and managers. Examples of projects can range from the implementation of new IT support to project management of community development projects.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant university degree in engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years of project management experience in a relevant industry.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• A creative thinker with the ability to see the big picture.
• A positive attitude and an infectious energy.
• A team player who values collaboration and cross-functional teams.
• A strong passion for innovation and quality.
• Driver's license, category B.

Desirable

• Experience with PPS
• Experience with agile project management methods
• Experience leading international (EU) projects
• Certifications such as PMP or IPMA

The Municipal Management Administration operates under the municipal council and is responsible for leading, coordinating, supporting, and monitoring the overall municipal operations.

During the interview, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Accepted documents are passport, international ID card, driver's license + personal certificate from the Tax Agency, or other ID documents that confirm citizenship.

We welcome language skills in Finnish and/or any of the Sámi varieties as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both Finnish and Sámi administrative areas.

In our municipality, a number of positions are placed in a security class, so a security review may take place. These positions require Swedish citizenship.
