Sandviken municipality's preschools and schools are governed by both national and municipal goals. Each unit follows up and evaluates its operations, conducts a results analysis, and formulates development measures. It is of utmost importance that everyone in the organization sees and takes responsibility for the common mission to achieve a quality education system, where children and students, regardless of background, can develop as far as possible. Björksätraskolan is a F-9 school with about 800 students, of which about 380 students in grades 7-9. The school is part of one of Sandviken's three primary school areas, the Southern primary school area. In addition to Björksätraskolan, Jernvallsskolan F-6 and Sätra school F-6 are also included. The school area is led by a principal, and a total of seven assistant principals work at the schools. Björksätraskolan is easily accessible by public transport while the proximity to forests and nature is right outside the window. There are several sports facilities nearby that can be used. The school is perceived by students, staff, and parents as a warm and welcoming place. We create good conditions for a safe school day through active student health, engaged staff, fixed substitutes, and student coaches. Qualified and engaged teachers contribute to most of our students leaving school with eligibility for upper secondary school. The school has high expectations of teachers and students, which contributes to good results. High expectations create conditions for students to dare to set high goals. Good collaboration with the home is prioritized at the school and is a prerequisite for achieving students' goals. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will teach in a Special Education Group, grades 7-9, in SO/ PE/ English. You will work both independently and in teams, where we together develop teaching with the student in focus. You motivate, support, and help students in their studies.
You contribute by:
- Creating teaching that is based on students' needs and conditions
- Being a clear leader and role model in the classroom
- Building good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians
- Actively participating in the school's development work within digitalization, values, and language development

- Developing teaching together in teams
- Having a shared responsibility for students' safety and learning
QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in the role, you need to have good pedagogical insight and understand how students absorb knowledge in different ways. You adapt teaching based on individual needs and create conditions for learning. A structured approach helps you plan and follow up teaching in a clear and effective way. You can set clear and professional boundaries while having a great empathetic ability and good understanding of various school difficulties that students may encounter.
Collaboration is a natural part of everyday life. You work attentively with colleagues, share experiences, and contribute to an open climate where teaching develops collectively. In a changing school environment, it is also important to be able to embrace new ideas and working methods and to see the opportunities in them. By being development-oriented, you contribute to the school's collective learning.
For the assignment, the following is required:
- Teaching certification with qualifications in SO/ PE/ English
- Good knowledge of the primary school's governing documents
- Good skills in Swedish, both orally and in writing
Good digital competence and experience using digital tools are meritorious.
