Your tasks

As a business developer within the LSS department, you will support and develop employees in pedagogical methods and low-arousal responses for individuals with autism spectrum disorders and/or intellectual disabilities. You will act as support and a sounding board for the staff in the operations and contribute to increasing users' participation, independence, and quality of life.

Your role includes planning and conducting training initiatives as well as leading meetings and supervision for employees. You will also collaborate with users, relatives, and guardians. An important part of the job is to observe and analyze users' strengths, needs, and interests, as well as to implement current research and development within LSS and pedagogical methods in the operations.

Your workplace

The LSS department within the Social Administration offers services according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). We are responsible for group homes and service housing, short-term relief, cultural and recreational activities, daily activities, and personal assistance. Our approximately 600 employees work based on a common value base to ensure good living conditions for those we support.

As a business developer, you will work across all operations within the department and become a central part of our development work. You will be part of a team of five business developers but will drive your work independently. The base is located at Bangårdsgatan in central Linköping, but most of the work takes place in the operations.

Who you are

We are looking for someone with a higher education degree, such as a social worker, occupational therapist, social care, or behavioral science, or other education that the employer considers relevant.

You have experience in pedagogical work and approaches adapted for individuals within the autism spectrum. Experience with clear pedagogical methods and low-arousal responses is a requirement. Experience with conversation mats is an advantage.

To succeed in this role, you need to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have good digital skills. A B driver's license is an advantage.

As a person, you are attentive and able to take in others' perspectives. You are open to new ideas, create safety in learning, and provide constructive feedback. You feel comfortable leading groups and adapt your communication based on the recipient's needs and conditions. You contribute with engagement, create participation, and have good collaboration skills.
