Ekbackens School in Åsenhöga has about 80 students from preschool to grade 6. Around the school, there is a wonderful and large playground that encourages play. The school has an active parent association and a well-functioning after-school program.

The school is located about 7 km from Gnosjö and has a large catchment area. It is beautifully situated in the Småland countryside with a nice local environment, making it a place where one can easily thrive.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to help create a meaningful, safe, and developing leisure time for our students? We are looking for someone with a passionate interest in children's learning who wants to work in a creative and educational team where you have the opportunity to influence and develop the after-school program's activities.

As a teacher in the after-school program, you will:

• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching based on the curriculum for after-school programs (Lgr22).
• Create a stimulating learning environment that promotes students' social, emotional, and academic learning.
• Be a resource for students during the school day.
• Actively contribute to the pedagogical development work in the after-school program and the school.
• Maintain close contact and collaboration with colleagues, guardians, and the student health team.
• Participate in the school's joint work on values, safety, and inclusion.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a teaching license with qualifications to teach in the after-school program and preferably in a subject.
• Has a strong child focus and sees the unique pedagogical opportunities of the after-school program.
• Is well-grounded in current pedagogical research and can implement this in practice.
• Has good communication skills with both students, guardians, and colleagues.
• Sees collegial collaboration as a natural strength and is unpretentious in cooperation.
• Has experience in pedagogical work, preferably in after-school programs, and is confident in your professional role.
