Dragonskolan is Umeå's largest meeting place for youth! Here you will meet more than 2,200 students in a recently renovated building. We offer a wide range of programs, courses, and electives that allow students to shape their own education. We provide good and timely teaching in a pleasant environment in modern facilities.

In the care and nursing program, students are trained for a job that involves the opportunity to help people and see others grow and succeed. At Dragonskolan, you contribute to educating nursing assistants for work within the municipality and county.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in areas such as anatomy and physiology, functional ability and disability, gerontology and geriatrics, health and medical care, nursing, and psychiatry. You are well acquainted with current national governing documents and have good knowledge of assessment and grading.

Your role also includes following up on students' learning during their workplace-based learning (APL), which involves visits to students' internship sites. You are a mentor for a group of students and actively contribute to their academic and personal development.

About You

We are looking for a licensed care teacher with the authority to teach the program's courses. It is advantageous if you have a teaching license and experience in upper secondary school, which means good knowledge of subject plans, assessment, and grading.

You have a background in the care and nursing field and are confident in your professional role. To succeed in this assignment, you are well-versed in the school's governing documents and have the ability to adapt and vary teaching according to students' different needs. You are a clear leader in the classroom and create structure, security, and good relationships.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
