Ersängsskolan is located in Östra Ersboda and is a multicultural F–9 school divided into several smaller schools.

There is also adapted primary school focusing on subject areas and resource classes for the entire municipality. There are approximately 400 students at the school. We have one of Sweden's best school libraries, and nearby there are football fields and an adventure playground. Our dedicated educators focus on a language-developing approach with the goal that everyone meets the knowledge requirements. Ersängsskolan is one of Umeå municipality's training schools, which means that during the school year, we host teacher students for their practical training, VFU.

We are now looking for a substitute teacher for grades 4-6, with qualifications in SO and mathematics!

Employment Form

The position is a part-time substitute, 80%, starting as soon as possible by agreement until 2026-06-17.

Job Responsibilities

In this position, you will teach SO and mathematics for grades 4-6. You will also be a mentor for students in grade 6. You will work closely with your work team and other educators at the school. Collaboration and teaching will also occur with other teachers in the grade.

As a person, you are flexible, structured, responsible, and can plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. Building relationships is an important part of the mission. We would like you to have a strong commitment and want to develop students' learning and your own teaching. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Requirements

• Teaching certification for grades 4-6 with qualifications for SO and mathematics
• Experience with students whose first language is not Swedish
• Valid extract from the criminal record
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing
