The main task of the administration is to convey knowledge and create conditions for students to acquire and develop knowledge.

The education should promote students' development into responsible individuals who actively participate in and develop professional and community life. It should contribute to the students' all-round development.

Position's mission:

The student health service should primarily work preventively and health-promoting and support students' development towards the goals. The work as a study and career counselor involves guiding students so that they make conscious study and career choices to develop towards their full potential. This may involve working with individual students as well as with groups of students. You will work in interdisciplinary teams and have close collaboration with other professionals as well as with external actors. The work involves a significant amount of independent work where you control your own agenda and take responsibility for ensuring that your tasks are completed.

The position is a temporary contract.

Qualifications

Study and career counselor education.

Good computer skills.

Proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Knowledge of English.

Knowledge of current governing documents and legislation.

Meritorious with knowledge of another language.

Experience in educational activities within the profession.

Gymnasieförvaltningen

The Gymnasieförvaltningen is part of a common board for the municipalities of Mora, Orsa, and Älvdalen. The administration is responsible for upper secondary education and adult education in the three collaborating municipalities. We are a school with high competence among the staff and good results among the students. We focus on the students' knowledge development and have a strong belief in the teachers' abilities. Currently, there are 14 national programs, introductory programs, sports gymnasiums, adapted upper secondary schools, adult education, SFI, and distance higher education. The school has about 1100 students in upper secondary school and about 600 students in adult education.
