Substitute Teacher Wanted at Skrattegi Preschools & Education

Skrattegi Preschools & Education is now looking for dedicated substitute teachers who can work on short notice at our preschools Mäster Mikael and Mosebacke in Södermalm, as well as Gröna Huset in Nacka.

We offer an opportunity to work in a pedagogical and creative environment with children aged 1–5 years, where you, together with our regular educators, contribute to the children's safety, development, and learning.

About the Role

As a substitute teacher with us, you will be contacted when regular educators are absent.

This means that you:

• may be booked on the same day,
• may be offered shorter, consecutive periods depending on the needs of the operation.

You will work in a group of children and support regular educators in daily tasks. Duties may include:

• participating in play, activities, and outdoor time
• assisting in gatherings, singing, and storytelling sessions
• supervising educational meals
• helping with practical tasks such as setting the table, washing dishes, wiping tables, and sweeping floors.
• contributing to safety, structure, and a positive atmosphere in the group of children

Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the current needs of the operation are central to the role.

• is over 18 years old
• has a genuine interest in children and pedagogy
• is responsible, engaged, and positive
• enjoys working in a team
• can step in on short notice
• interacts with children and colleagues with warmth and professionalism.

Important to Know

For work with children, a valid extract from the Police Criminal Records is required. This must be presented if you are considered for employment.
