Your Mission

Rudsjövägen group home is a residence according to the Act on Support and Service (LSS) located in a quiet residential area in Duvnäs, close to a bus that goes to Slussen.

The building is a detached house that houses six apartments as well as communal areas with a large outdoor terrace. In the group home, adults of varying ages with intellectual disabilities live. Some residents also have physical disabilities. Rudsjövägen group home is part of an operational area together with another service residence that together has an assistant operations manager. As a support assistant, you will work to provide support and service together with residents based on their individual needs. This means that you will help create conditions for safety, personal development, and good living conditions. The focus is always on the customers, and we adapt based on their needs and respect their wishes and desires. Daily documentation is an important part of the work to ensure good quality and safety in our mission. The work is scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.

The position involves varied tasks including support and service with:

• Cleaning
• Personal care
• Hygiene tasks
• Medication management

Is this you?

We are looking for someone with experience in the disability field and a good understanding of what our mission according to LSS entails. You are used to and have the capacity to work alone with customers and are comfortable with the responsibility that entails. Furthermore, you also have a high ability to collaborate and are a team player. You naturally prioritize the well-being and needs of the customer, have a calm and pleasant demeanor towards everyone you meet, and think service in all situations. Our customers have extensive needs for support in their daily lives, and you therefore need to be accustomed to care interventions. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Your Experience

To be considered for the position, you must have:

• Completed education in health and care/child and leisure with courses in disabilities/special education
• Experience with autism and cognitive disabilities among adults
• Experience with low-arousal approaches
• Computer and documentation skills
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Good physical ability

If you also have training and/or experience in IBIC, AAC, clear pedagogical approaches, and self-harming behaviors, it is highly meritorious.
