Your Mission

The social psychiatry in Nacka is the municipal alternative for providing services to individuals with mental disabilities. In the role of housing support worker, you will offer individual housing support to our clients in their own homes throughout Nacka. The support services are based on requests sent by authorities and are tailored to each client's needs, making the work very varied. This may involve helping the client practice skills to improve their daily life by, for example, finding routines for managing their home or finding ways to break isolation. The work is very independent, and you will be out in the field during the workday. Housing support also collaborates with our meeting places where clients become part of a community, get to know others, and participate in various activities.

The working hours are primarily during the day from Monday to Friday with some weekend shifts. If necessary, some evening work may occur. Movement between client visits is done via public transport.

The role includes, but is not limited to:

• daily documentation
• work with implementation plans
• support in contact with authorities, healthcare, guardians, or similar
• support at home such as shopping, cooking, laundry, planning, and structure

Your Experience

To be considered for the position, it is a requirement that you have:

• Completed education in care and nursing with a focus on psychiatry, alternatively a social worker or equivalent education at university or college
• Experience working with the target group
• Familiarity with working based on MI (motivational interviewing)
• Very good Swedish skills, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Experience in pedagogical and/or social work, preferably within housing support or similar work
• Computer and documentation skills

You must be at least 18 years old.
