Kista International School is a primary school located in Akalla. The school is a free school founded in 2010 and owned by a non-profit association. It is a growing school with approximately 740 students in grades F-9 for the 25/26 academic year. The school has been very successful, achieving around 90% eligibility for upper secondary school in recent years and ranking among the top three schools in the entire country in the Swedish National Agency for Education's survey. We strongly believe in having high expectations for our students and are not satisfied until all students succeed. To achieve this goal, we work hard to strengthen cooperation with homes, maintain order and structure in the school, and take care of our teachers so that they feel comfortable and can do a great job. We value our good collegial culture at the school, and within our teams, we have excellent collaboration and support each other. We have a high presence of adults in the school and work towards a structured and well-organized student health effort.

We are now looking for a teacher in physical education and/or a teacher for after-school care. We are a growing school, and our three physical education teachers are no longer sufficient, so we need someone who can teach grades 1 and 2, which involves seven lessons per week. The conditions for teaching are that in grade 2, we have swimming lessons for part of the year for each class and other teaching during the remaining time. We do not have access to a gym for grades 1 and 2, so we conduct lessons outdoors or with alternative activities that can be booked.

We are also looking for a certified teacher for after-school care who can contribute to the pedagogical development of the after-school program and for organized breaks.

Based on these conditions, the following options are interesting for us:

1. That you are a teacher for after-school care with a focus on physical education and are willing to combine the roles.
2. That you are a teacher in physical education and are interested in a part-time position.
3. That you are a teacher for after-school care who can contribute to the pedagogical development of the after-school program and for organized breaks.

We strive for close collaboration and working together, so you need to be collegial and accustomed to cooperating. You need to be confident in teaching and be able to inspire students joyfully to want to learn more. The role requires you to be structured, have the ability to teach in a pedagogical way to encourage students to gain more knowledge, and possess good leadership qualities while understanding the importance of building relationships.
