Kista International School is a primary school located in Akalla. The school is a free school founded in 2010 and is owned by a non-profit association. It is a growing school that has approximately 740 students in grades F-9 for the school year 25/26. The school is very successful and has had around 90% eligibility for upper secondary school in recent years, ranking among the top three schools in the entire country according to the Swedish National Agency for Education's survey. We strongly believe in having high expectations for our students, and we are not satisfied until all students succeed. To achieve this goal, we work hard to strengthen cooperation with homes, maintain order and structure in the school, and take care of our teachers so that they feel comfortable and can do a good job. We highly value our positive collegial culture at the school, and within the working teams, we have excellent collaboration and support for each other. We have a high presence of adults in the school and work towards a structured and well-organized student health effort.

We are now looking for an English teacher. The teaching will be for grades 7-9, and there are additional teachers who teach English with whom you will collaborate. We will be starting co-teaching in English, so part of the instruction will take place in a co-teaching format and part in a more traditional manner. You will plan together and support each other, where equity in teaching for the students is important. You need to be confident in teaching and be able to inspire students with joy to want to learn more. The position requires you to be structured, have the ability to teach in a pedagogical way to encourage students towards greater knowledge, as well as possess good leadership qualities and understand the importance of building relationships.

You need to be certified in the subject of English. The position is 100%. It is a permanent position starting Thursday, August 6th. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis. We welcome your application!
