We are looking for a dedicated and meticulous temporary project coordinator for SNS & NKJ.
About the job
SNS (Nordic Forest Research) and NKJ (Nordic Committee for Agricultural and Food Research) are seeking a temporary project coordinator for our joint secretariat. SNS and NKJ are two Nordic cooperation bodies linked to the Nordic Council of Ministers. Both organizations have SLU as their host organization, and the secretariat is located at the Department of Southern Swedish Forest Science at SLU in Alnarp.
As a temporary project coordinator, you will work as an integral part of the secretariat and play a central role in the ongoing operations. Your tasks will include, among other things:
- Coordinating and following up on funded networks and projects
- Providing administrative and communicative support to boards, working groups, and partners
- Participating in the planning and execution of meetings, workshops, and conferences
- Contributing to reporting, follow-up, and documentation
- Supporting the secretariat's external and internal communication
The SNS and NKJ secretariat consists of a small and dedicated team. The work is performed on-site at the secretariat located at SLU in Alnarp, providing a close connection to both academia and Nordic cooperation.
Your background
We are looking for someone who is structured, communicative, and has an interest in Nordic cooperation and research-related activities. You enjoy working independently but also in close collaboration with others, in a role with varied tasks and many points of contact.
Formal requirements:
- Relevant academic education in fields such as forestry, agriculture, food, bioeconomy, social sciences, or other related areas
- Experience in administrative work, project support, or coordinating tasks
- Excellent ability to communicate in English, both spoken and written
- Good ability to work in a structured manner, plan, and follow up on tasks
Desirable qualifications:
- Experience in research, research funding, or research administration
- Experience in Nordic or international cooperation
- Good communication skills in Swedish or another Nordic language
- Experience in meeting planning, reporting, or project follow-up
- Familiarity with digital tools such as Office Suite, Teams, or similar collaboration platforms
