The Communication Section, one of the ten sections of the University Administration, works to increase the university's visibility, attractiveness, and communicative ability.

The section underwent a new organization on April 1, 2025, and consists of the departments of Research and External Communication, Internal Communication and Management Support, Student Communication and Marketing, as well as Web and Branding. The Academic Directorate is organized under the Web and Branding department. The Communication Section has about 60 employees.

Requirements

  • Relevant academic education or other education deemed relevant by the employer
  • Experience from doctoral promotions and/or other academic ceremonies
  • Knowledge of Lund University's operations, student organizations, and partners
  • Experience working in a project-oriented manner
  • Good skills in Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Fluent in speaking and writing Swedish and English

As a person, you are good at building relationships, stable, and clear. You are also self-driven, structured, and flexible.

Desirable qualifications:

  • Engagement in student organizations
  • Experience in leading larger events
  • Network within the university and its partners.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Job Responsibilities

Be involved in planning, coordinating, and executing larger events and ceremonies such as doctoral promotions and graduation ceremonies, as well as supporting official visits to the university. The position involves irregular working hours in April-May when preparations for the doctoral promotion are most intensive.

The employment is a temporary position from 2026-03-01, lasting until 2026-08-15 at the latest.

Scope: 75%.
