JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to grow in your professional role while contributing to the development of financial work in an organization where your support makes a difference?

As an accountant at the education administration, you will work in a supportive role for the organization and be responsible for accounting issues. The role involves both independent work and close collaboration with colleagues in a team. You have a wide network and act as the spider in the web towards the schools, where you provide qualified support, follow up on financial flows, and ensure accurate accounting. The work offers great development opportunities and requires that you are a good educator who can explain financial analyses, routines, and regulations clearly and accessibly to the organization.

Your tasks include:

• Responsible for ongoing accounting and quality assurance of financial documents.
• Follow up on revenues, costs, and balance items, and analyze deviations.
• Support schools and departments in financial matters, including routines, chart of accounts, and accounting principles.
• Act as an educator and knowledge bearer in financial matters within the administration.
• Prepare reports and decision-making materials for the organization and management.
• Participate in the development of work processes and contribute to the efficiency of financial flows.
• Collaborate with colleagues in teams and ensure uniform working methods.
• Be the contact person for accounting-related questions and contribute to good internal governance and control.
• Support during year-end closing, annual accounts, and audits.
• Work proactively to identify areas for improvement within the financial area.

QUALIFICATIONS

In this role, you are the spider in the web for the schools and serve as an important support in financial matters, which requires you to be collaborative, unpretentious, and accustomed to finding solutions together with others. You are analytical and solution-oriented, quickly see what needs to be done, and actively contribute to developing and strengthening our financial practices for the best of the organization.

Requirements for the position:

• Higher education in economics or education/experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.
• Good knowledge of Excel and other Office tools.

Meritorious:

• Experience working with financial work in public operations.
• Experience with financial systems such as Unit4ERP.
• Knowledge of municipal accounting legislation and governance models.
