Are you a stable project and program coordinator who enjoys taking on significant responsibilities? Are you driven and want to make a difference? We are currently embarking on a major digitalization journey within Region Skåne, where you will support our projects and programs in a temporary role.

The Department of Digitalization IT and MT is the hub for innovation and technical development within the Skåne healthcare system. Our mission is to create a modern, cohesive, and intelligent digital healthcare environment that enables the next generation of care. We combine stable operations and consolidation of today’s IT environment with the introduction of future-proof solutions. Here, we work with everything from advanced data management and AI applications to medical technology innovation and automation. We are responsible for the fundamental healthcare information systems and lead the development towards data-driven, patient-centered, and sustainable care. The department consists of approximately 550 employees and is present at all hospital areas in Skåne, with its headquarters in Lund.

Region Skåne is currently undergoing a comprehensive transformation - The Future Health System. Digitalization is crucial for this transformation. As part of this, we have established the Business Area of Digital Transformation, where we work strategically and goal-oriented to create new digital solutions in close collaboration with operations and partners. Within the business area, there is the Project Office where you will become a key player. Here, we drive around 60 initiatives that span AI, data integration, cybersecurity, and advanced analytics. The Project Office currently has about 50 employees consisting of program managers, project managers, and portfolio managers, both employees and consultants. We operate from our offices at Medicon Village in Lund, although remote work has become a natural part of our everyday life.

Digitalization IT and MT is on a continuous journey of change, and as a project and program coordinator, you have the opportunity to contribute to our internal change work regarding working methods, processes, follow-up, and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are facing continued significant and exciting challenges with further digitalization within Region Skåne. The pace of change is high, and we are now looking for a project and program coordinator for our project office who wants to help make a difference for both our employees and citizens.

In the role of project and program coordinator with us, you will work closely with program managers, project managers, and the head of the project office. You will have a central role in ensuring project delivery, where we use ServiceNow as our project tool. Your tasks may include various coordinating duties, from following up on project budgeting within each program to continuously coordinating and analyzing project planning, project follow-up, and project reporting. You will work with our project management tool and according to our project model.

You will be responsible for, among other things:

  • Within the program, be responsible for administrative tasks (for example, writing minutes, following up on actions, decision logs, scheduling meetings, preparing meeting materials)
  • support the program manager in developing and updating documents such as program plans, decision materials, etc.
  • ensure that the program and projects follow, report, and document according to the project model (PPS), project methodology, requirements, and routines
  • ensure that deviations in projects regarding time, cost, and results are reported and follow up to ensure they are addressed
  • have a financial overview and assist project and program managers with support.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with at least a high school education and preferably a university degree in areas such as IT, economics, system science, digitalization, or other work experience deemed equivalent. It is also required that you have high computer literacy and are proficient in using applications in the MS Office suite and SharePoint at a user level. Additionally, you have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is highly meritorious if you have worked with financial follow-up and if you have documented work experience in similar coordinating roles. It is also advantageous if you have experience with project management systems, preferably ServiceNow. If you have previously worked in project form and have experience with project methodologies such as PPS and have worked in any project tool, this is considered an asset.

To succeed in this role, you need to have a strong drive and good collaboration skills. You are socially competent, enjoy meeting others, and communicate in a clear and effective manner. You work independently and goal-oriented, with a natural inclination for administrative tasks and a structured work methodology. As a person, you are meticulous, responsible, and solution-focused, while also valuing building and maintaining good relationships with your surroundings. The role requires you to be engaged, quality-conscious, and stable, with the ability to drive projects forward, set requirements, and ensure that projects achieve their goals.

Please note that the position is a temporary role.

Digitalization IT and MT provides support and service to all operations in Region Skåne and works strategically and developmentally to promote digitalization and digital transformation. The department contributes to the establishment of a modern and cohesive digital healthcare environment while existing IT/MT services are operated, managed, and delivered professionally and cost-effectively according to the expectations of the operations. Digitalization IT and MT is also responsible for maintaining the operational reliability of medical technology products and providing technical expertise in medically related matters.
