Energy efficiency and resource-efficient energy use are crucial for achieving climate goals and strengthening our energy preparedness. The country's energy and climate advisors play a central role in this. The position includes a coordinating role for parts of the support system for municipal advisors.

We are now looking for someone who wants to be the driving force in this work, while also having the opportunity to support and develop actors, organizations, and the public sector in sustainable energy transition through their own or others' projects.

Your role

Various areas of expertise within the energy field are possible for this position, but regardless of the specialty you bring, efforts in everything from strategic energy planning, preparedness issues, digitization, energy efficiency to sustainable regional development may be part of the job.

In the role of national coordinator, you will

• Lead the national support system for energy and climate advice consisting of six people in various energy offices and follow up and develop the work.
• Collaborate with the program's administrators at the Swedish Energy Agency and act as the link between the authorities and the energy offices. Regularly report to the steering group for the support system. Coordinate the support system's efforts to further develop methodology and working methods, maintain regional networks for the country's energy and climate advisors, and establish a training plan for the country's approximately 130 energy and climate advisors.
• Plan and conduct meetings for the participants of the support system and training efforts for all advisors.
• Work closely and collaborate with authorities, municipalities, companies, associations, and regional actors throughout the country.

You will also initially drive and coordinate cycling-related issues, including taking responsibility for pilot implementation of travel measures in Ljungby municipality.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has a great interest in engaging and inspiring others. You are passionate about the environment and climate as well as energy-related issues related to energy use for transport or to properties and the activities conducted in these.

You have:

• A suitable academic background in natural sciences, engineering, urban planning, sustainable development, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• At least three years of experience in energy-related tasks such as strategic energy management, mobility/transport, energy advice, energy efficiency in properties or operations, or related areas that the employer deems equivalent.
• Documented experience in project management or project coordination, preferably in a coordinating or leading role.
• Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• The ability to participate physically in local, regional, and international meetings.
• Good experience in working with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Teams, as well as basic to good knowledge of Excel and other Office programs.

Meritorious is:

• Knowledge of the energy and climate advisory system.
• Experience in working and coordinating multiple stakeholders, both nationally and internationally.
• Documented experience in contributing to the development and application of projects, including formulating project ideas, goals, activities, budgets, and partnerships, particularly within public funding and/or EU programs.

Conditions of employment

• Employment: full-time position, permanent. A probationary period may be applied.
• Start date: as soon as possible according to agreement.
• Location: Kalmar, Oskarshamn, Karlskrona, Växjö, or Lund. Our offices are within walking distance or have good bus connections from the central station in each city, making it easy to commute by train.
