About the Job

We are now looking for a Senior Social Worker for financial support, unit Financial Support 5, which targets all individuals aged 28 and above.

In the role of Senior Social Worker, you will be a close and accessible support for the caseworkers in their daily work. You will lead, provide methodological guidance, and help ensure lawful and qualitative handling of financial support. You recognize the potential of employees and have a coaching and supportive approach.

You play a central role in the introduction of new employees as well as ongoing support for the caseworkers. You actively work to create and maintain a good working environment in the unit. The assignment also includes responsibility for method development, where you keep yourself updated on current research, legislation, and case law in the field.

As a Senior Social Worker, you assist the unit manager with various operational issues, such as scheduling, planning, and monitoring the goals of employees and the unit. You may also participate in various working groups, both within the Social Administration Nordost and at the city-wide level. Some evening work may occur.

As a Senior Social Worker, you will be offered external process supervision, flexible working hours, the possibility of remote work, and close support from the unit manager and a senior colleague in the unit.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and experience in working with financial support. You have good knowledge of legislation and case law in the area and are confident in your professional role.

To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you are socially secure, communicative, and pedagogical in your way of collaborating and guiding others. You have the ability to see the big picture, work in a structured manner, and balance the demands of the operation with a supportive and coaching approach.

You are comfortable taking responsibility, contributing to development, and being a clear yet unpretentious link between caseworkers and the unit manager.
