We are looking for a support assistant for a temporary position from March 16 to September 13, 2026.
About the Position
We are now seeking a support assistant for a temporary position at Norra Fiskebäcksvägen 28B.
Norra Fiskebäcksvägen BmSS (Housing with Special Services) started in the summer of 2021 and consists of six apartments. The target group is adults with multiple disabilities at an early developmental level.
We are looking for someone who can work based on each individual's abilities and conditions and who wants to contribute to safe and quality care.
We are a team with positive and engaged colleagues. Together we make a difference, and our work is important for people who need individual support in their daily lives. Now you have the opportunity to become a part of our team.
At Norra Fiskebäcksvägen, the users have a great need for support and care in many situations. The tasks vary and include everything from pedagogical support in daily life, extensive personal care, cooking, and cleaning. Most users have non-verbal communication.
Together with your colleagues, you will create, implement, and follow up on the individually designed intervention using social documentation as a tool for quality assurance. The work also includes providing support during activities such as bathing and walking. The position includes receiving delegation according to the Health and Medical Services Act.
The working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, sleeping on-call, and weekends according to a schedule.
We look forward to your application!
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree from the Health and Care program, Support Assistant training, or the Child and Leisure program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability area that includes at least 200 vocational training points, 120 higher education points, or a combination that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education points and at least two years of experience working with support and service for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant points in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer considers equivalent.
Requirements for the position include experience in care work with individuals at an early developmental level. Experience with clear pedagogical methods and alternative communication (AAC) is also required. Experience working with individuals who have epilepsy is a must. You should be comfortable being delegated responsibility for medication, feeding tubes, CPAP machines, and cough machines. Previous experience with feeding tubes, inhalation, suction, and cough machines is also advantageous.
All social documentation is done digitally, so you need to have good computer skills and command of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the testing user Educateit.
You should be adaptable in your work approach, responsible, possess good communication and collaboration skills, and show sensitivity to both users and others you encounter in your work. You adapt your communication according to the recipient, target group, and situation. You listen to others to understand their needs. You have the ability to explain problems and information to different recipients from various perspectives. You can work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. You work effectively under stress, can balance different demands, and remain calm in difficult situations.
