Description

The Child and Family Unit 2 belongs to the area of Individual and Family Services (IFO) within the Labor Market and Social Administration. The unit consists of three investigation teams with 18 social workers, three team leaders, an administrator, and a unit manager. The unit collaborates closely with Child and Family Unit 1 and 3, which together have three additional investigation teams and a reception unit. The city has well-developed home-based interventions that work with change processes.

In our unit, there is a strong commitment and good cohesion among employees. We have several team leaders and social workers with extensive and solid experience in child welfare work. You can expect challenges in everyday life but also laughter, wonderful meetings, and fantastic colleagues. Our employees are our most important resource, and we are looking for someone who wants to contribute to maintaining a high quality of our services with our residents in focus.

The unit consciously works with an inclusive approach and response and is HBTQ+ certified. We also have a strong focus on children's participation in our interactions and good knowledge of NPF (neuropsychiatric disabilities). The units are now strongly focused on implementing the New Social Services Act to be an easily accessible and safe social service.

With us, you will receive thorough onboarding, a mentor, supervision, and the opportunity for remote work two days a week.

Your Tasks

Your main task is to handle cases according to SoL and LVU focusing on children and youth aged 0-18 years, their families, and networks. You will investigate and assess the resources and support needs of children and families and decide on and follow up various interventions. We work from a conscious and developed child perspective and use BBIC as our case management and documentation system.

Qualifications

You should be a social worker or social educator. You have good knowledge of child development, and it is natural for you to be engaged with children at risk and see the child's network as an important resource in the change process.

It is an advantage if you have interest and knowledge within the target group of Youth at risk of organized crime. The units have a group of social workers who work more specifically with this target group, and we are now looking for another social worker to join the team. This means that you will primarily handle cases related to this target group, receive targeted training, and collaborate closely with the police, prosecutors, etc.

Personal Qualities

We expect you to be an empathetic and secure person with good personal maturity and that you contribute to a good work environment. Important qualities are good collaboration skills, resilience, and the ability to work independently. You should have a good ability for reflection and analysis and express yourself well in both speech and writing, as the work involves a significant amount of documentation and administration. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Additional Information

A valid extract from the criminal record must be presented to the employer before an employment offer is made.
