Personal Assistants Wanted in Central Mariestad

The Functional Support Department is part of the Elderly and Care Administration. We are now looking for three personal assistants for one of our assignments in central Mariestad.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your task as a personal assistant is to support and assist the individual entitled to assistance in their daily life. The work involves extensive caregiving needs such as dressing and undressing, hygiene, support during meals, communication, and daily chores, as well as many delegated health and medical tasks. You are the extended arm of the individual in their daily life, which is why it is important that you are attentive to their needs. The assignment also includes accompanying the individual to various activities based on their needs.

This role starts at Alens Care and Nursing Home while the individual awaits a decision on moving to their own apartment. When the move becomes relevant, your tasks will follow the individual to their new home. The assignment is, and will remain after the move, centrally located in Mariestad.

The positions involve work at 75-100% and you will work irregular hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant, has studied childcare and leisure, or has another equivalent educational background.

Experience in the disability sector with extensive caregiving work and delegated health and medical tasks is an advantage. Knowledge and experience in TAKK (sign language for communication) and low-arousal approaches are also considered meritorious.

As a personal assistant in this role, you need to be secure and clear in your work role and always prioritize the user's best interests. In addition to being attentive to the user's individual needs, you should be calm, pedagogical, and able to work independently.

We expect you to have a good ability to both speak and write Swedish fluently, and that you have digital maturity since our documentation is important.
