Tingsholmsgymnasiet in Ulricehamn is a high school for approximately 500 students where opportunities for both academic and personal development exist. With a wide range of eleven national programs - from university preparatory to vocational, the school offers a creative and inclusive learning environment where community, student influence, and collaboration with the business community are in focus. Here, there are opportunities to combine studies with sports profiles, aesthetic profiles, or entrepreneurship, and the school's tradition of Young Entrepreneurship and national sports high school for cross-country skiing makes Tingsholm a dynamic place for the youth of the future.

We are now offering a key role in the school's student health work and becoming part of a dedicated and cross-professional team with close collaboration around the best interests of the students.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

For the academic year 2026/2027, we are establishing a new position as attendance coordinator. The overall purpose of the position is to promote students' attendance, safety, and well-being in school. You will report to the principal and work closely with the school's student health team and mentors.

The role is both strategic and operational and is suitable for you who thrive in a varied work environment where relationship-building, collaboration, and problem-solving are central.

As an attendance coordinator, you will:

• work preventively and promote school attendance at the individual and group level
• collaborate closely with the student health team (school nurse, counselor, and special educators)
• support mentors in more complex cases
• intervene in cases of problematic school absenteeism and support students in their schooling
• contribute to and develop a social environment in dedicated spaces that will serve as a safe and pleasant place for students outside of lessons
• participate in the school's overall development work related to safety and attendance

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a very good ability to communicate and build trusting relationships with young people. You have a good understanding of the high school's mission and conditions, as well as experience in professional work with youth or young adults. You work in a structured and solution-oriented manner, have excellent problem-solving skills, and can maintain calm and judgment even in unforeseen situations. Furthermore, you have the ability to work both independently and in close collaboration with other professionals. A teaching degree or a degree in social work is an advantage.
