About the Position

We are looking for an Archivist for an authority located in central Stockholm. The assignment involves temporarily strengthening the organization with both registration and archival expertise during a colleague's parental leave.

The tasks will consist of work within registration (approximately 20–30% of the assignment) as well as archival work, where investigative elements may also occur, such as disposal investigations and other analyses related to archival processes.

The following tasks may occur in this position:

• Maintain existing supplier contacts and seek out and establish new ones.
• Prepare, compile, and update statistics and various registers, such as contract and customer registers.
• Perform administrative tasks related to procurements, orders, direct procurements, call-offs from framework agreements, and purchases.
• Participate in the handling of quotes, bids, contracts, and selection of suppliers.
• Retrieve and provide information from physical archives, historical collections, or databases (public documents).
• Organize, catalog, and describe archives as well as establish archival accounting.
• Establish information management plans and assess which documents should be preserved, disposed of, or how they should be stored.
• Participate in the development of guidelines and governing documents for internal archival work.

Assignment Period and Scope:

The position as a registrar is a full-time consulting assignment with an estimated start in April/May 2026 and is initially expected to last for nine (9) months with a possible extension.

Requirements for the Position:

• University education in archival science or equivalent knowledge acquired through extensive work experience as an archivist.
• At least three (3) years of work experience in registration and archival work, including archival care, disclosure of public documents, disposal, and digital archive management.
• At least one (1) year of experience in similar tasks from public operations.
• Experience and interest in providing service to employees.
• Knowledge and experience in one of the larger diary systems on the market.
• Ability to provide two (2) references confirming that you have worked as an archivist in two different entities within the public sector.

Meritorious for the Position:

• Familiarity with laws and regulations governing public operations and the role and responsibilities of archivists.
• Several years of experience working with information security, good knowledge of GDPR.
• Several years of experience with disposal investigations.
• Several years of experience in how work is conducted in e-archives.
