The City Archives is the city's information hub where information from the past and present becomes accessible to everyone. We help the city's operations to work correctly and efficiently with archive and information management and ensure that information is delivered to the City Archives in a structured, searchable, and quality-assured manner.

Our core values are engaged, curious, and systematic. At the City Archives, we continuously work to develop our working methods to increase the accessibility and value of our services. You will be part of the City Archives' unit that promotes the city's information management together with 20 employees. You belong to the group of Archive Services and Deliveries, which consists of 12 colleagues. The goal of our unit is that the City's information is transparent, accessible, and sustainable in the long term.

The City Archives has premises at Kungsklippan, designed by Gunnar Asplund, and at Liljeholmskajen in the old premises of Vin and Sprit.

My name is Eleanor Freud, and I am the unit manager for promoting the city's information management at the City Archives of Stockholm. Your role

Together we support the City of Stockholm's operations in their archive and information management and receive deliveries to the e-archive Stockholm.

Your tasks include, among other things:

  • developing governing documents such as archive descriptions, classification structures, preservation lists, handling instructions, and strategies for long-term storage of digital information
  • planning and executing deliveries
  • leading or participating in connection projects
  • processing digital information in connection with deliveries and archive maintenance efforts
  • structuring and automating methods for handling digital information
  • working with city-wide systems such as the city's case and document management system e-Dok (Platina).

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a bachelor's degree with at least 60 credits in archive science
  • experience working with digital archives or e-archive solutions
  • very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • experience with e-archive deliveries and good technical competence in digital archiving solutions
  • experience executing assignments in information management and archives for paying customers
  • education in systems technology or system development or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways
  • knowledge of agile methods/Scrum.
