The libraries in Danderyd consist of Danderyd Library in Mörby Center, Djursholm, Enebyberg, and Stocksund libraries. We work together to create a relevant and interesting library service based on the library plan, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and the municipality's operational goals.

Our library plan extends from 2025 to 2030 with three important focus areas: promoting reading and cultural experiences, knowledge and information, and accessible meeting places characterized by accessibility, participation, and safety.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a librarian focused on youth with us. The role involves encouraging reading and language development for the target group through book talks and activities. You will collaborate with your colleagues and network with leisure leaders and youth coordinators.

Additionally, regular library work such as staffing, book arrangement, purchasing, and media localization is included.

Do you have a strong interest in working with youth? Do you have the ability to create engaging activities for this target group? Are you used to meeting the target group and conducting book talks, book discussions, and library tours? Then you are the one we are looking for!

Your main work location will be at Stocksund and Danderyd libraries in Mörby Center.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a degree in Library and Information Science or another education that the employer deems equivalent
• Has good oral and written skills in the Swedish language

As a person, you are creative, relationship-building, and have engagement and enjoy collaborating with other stakeholders. You are proactive, communicative, and have a desire and interest in working with youth.

You are structured, plan, and execute your tasks in the best way. You create an overview and see connections. You are self-sufficient, can take your own initiatives, and come up with new ideas.

The work requires that you have a good knowledge of youth literature.

Evening and Saturday shifts are included according to the schedule.
