Project Manager for Nordic Terminology Project on Sustainability
Do you want to work on a Nordic project where you can be the spider in the web? With us, you will be an important part of the Nordic language collaboration and work on a project about terms in the field of sustainability. The Institute for Language and Folklore (Isof) is now looking for a part-time project manager who can lead and coordinate the project.
About Isof
Isof is a government agency that collects, builds, and disseminates knowledge about languages and culture in our multilingual Sweden. We exist for everyone and are a resource for many professional groups, associations, and organizations. We assist the government with data and provide support to other authorities.
In this position, you will belong to the Language Council department in Stockholm and work on a two-year project funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers.

About the Assignment
As a project manager, you are employed to lead a Nordic terminology project on sustainability terms. The project is funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers, is a collaboration between Nordic language organizations, and is led by the Language Council in Sweden. The position involves leading and coordinating the project.
The work includes:
- Developing a model for digital collaboration
- Coordinating and overseeing terminology work in the Nordic countries
- Organizing digital and physical networking meetings (e.g., planning programs, booking travel, being responsible for documentation)
- Monitoring the project's finances and ensuring it stays within budget
- Being a communication hub for involved actors, including the Nordic Council of Ministers.
Qualifications
You have at least a bachelor's degree and experience in project management and working within public administration. You have a very good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, and you understand Norwegian and Danish well.
Desirable
It is advantageous if you have training in project management and knowledge of Nordic language collaboration. It is also advantageous if you have experience in Nordic or other international collaborations and experience in terminology or other linguistic work.
Personal Qualities
As a person, you are structured and have a very good ability to plan your work. You work organized both individually and together with others, complete what you have started, and meet deadlines. You have a very good ability to build relationships with others and are communicative and receptive in collaborations. At the same time, you are independent and can take your own initiatives. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
Additional Information about the Position
Application deadline: 2026-02-24
Location: Language Council department in Stockholm. Travel may occur.
The employment is a fixed-term position at 25% until 2027-12-31.
Start date by agreement.
