Do you have a strong interest in order, structure, and information management? We are now looking for someone who, together with engaged colleagues, wants to contribute to a legally secure and efficient management of the Security Police's physical and digital archives.

Become part of the whole. Together we protect Sweden.

This is your mission

The modern history of the Security Police spans over 100 years. The agency's archives contain much of what has been received or used by the Swedish security service over the years. Today, the archive combines history with the modern handling of contemporary documents.

In the role of archivist, you make an important contribution to ensuring that the Security Police's public documents are handled correctly and efficiently. Your tasks include both the common tasks of the workgroup as well as your own assignments and areas of responsibility. You will be part of a workgroup responsible for daily archive management, which includes both electronic document management as well as handling the physical archive.

Together with driven colleagues, you will work on long-term and sustainable information management. You ensure that archive issues are handled as part of the entire lifecycle process, and you help design strategies for sustainable and long-term electronic information management based on applicable regulations.

You provide support and training to the Security Police's employees in management issues related to archive and information management, as well as conducting archive-related presentations.

You will be involved in the implementation of a system for the long-term preservation of electronic documents (e-archive) and in maintaining and updating operational-based archive reporting.

Your placement is at the headquarters in Solna, and the work is performed on-site, which means you do not have the option to work remotely. Travel within Sweden may occur occasionally.

The qualifications we are looking for

Only those who meet the following requirements will be considered for the position:

  • Relevant academic education that includes archival science or other education that the Security Police deems relevant for the position
  • Current work experience that the Security Police deems relevant for the position
  • Knowledge of regulations regarding registration issues, public access, and confidentiality
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite
  • Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing

Employment requires Swedish citizenship.

As an applicant, you may also have competencies that add breadth and complementary perspectives. If you can contribute with one or more of the following, it is meritorious:

  • Experience working as an archivist in public administration
  • Experience in organizing and cataloging archives
  • Experience in training initiatives and information dissemination
  • Good knowledge of current standards regarding electronic case and document management
  • Experience in digitization work and e-archives

This is the colleague we are looking for

We place great importance on your personal qualities and are looking for someone who, with curiosity and commitment, contributes to a solution-oriented work climate. You are flexible and find it easy to handle multiple parallel tasks simultaneously. You work on both shorter assignments and those that extend over a longer period, and you have a good ability to switch between them. With a clear holistic perspective, you have the ability to lift your gaze and see your assignment in relation to the organization and the agency as a whole.

You enjoy working both independently and in a group. In this role, you have many points of contact, and it is important that you have good communication skills and are good at building relationships. It is about naturally creating and maintaining trusting contacts, both within your own group and within the agency at large.

The Security Police has high demands for security and confidentiality, therefore we expect you to have a high security awareness and a good understanding of information security and confidentiality issues.

Employment conditions and benefits
