At SKH, artistic and scientific research is conducted by researchers, doctoral students, artists, teachers, and students at all levels of education. The position is located in the Department of Library and Archives.

Job Responsibilities

As a librarian, you will meet students, teachers, and researchers who shape contemporary and future art. You provide information services for SKH's education and research, both generally and specifically for the university's art forms, and you support source evaluation, publishing, and documentation of students' and researchers' results.

The collections in the library are cataloged in the national library catalog LIBRIS, which is linked to the local library system Koha. The library also uses databases and web resources within the university's core subjects. The department is also responsible for the publishing platforms DiVA and Research Catalogue, which collect the university's results regarding both research and education.

Qualifications:

• You have a relevant education at the university level with a focus on library and information science or equivalent.
• Experience in library work – particularly cataloging in LIBRIS XL
• Good administrative skills
• Good ability to communicate in both Swedish and English.

Desirable qualifications:

• Experience with library systems, preferably Koha
• Experience in web editing and IT within the library field as well as publishing and storage tools DiVA.
• Experience in user instruction with good pedagogical skills.
• Experience in digitization, preferably in the field of sound and image.
• Experience in collaboration on research-related issues.

The role includes collaboration with various parties within the university as well as with the surrounding community. You are accustomed to working both operationally and strategically. We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills, who is attentive and has the ability to create good relationships. You are also change-oriented, goal-oriented, persistent, and communicative.

About the employment

The position is a fixed-term employment for 12 months. The extent of the position is 100% of full-time. Start date as soon as possible, by agreement.
