Ving is embarking on one of its most important modernization initiatives: transitioning from a traditional data warehouse in Azure Synapse, SSAS, and SSRS to a modern, integrated platform in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. To succeed, Ving is looking for an information architect who wants to take a central role in the work with information management, data governance, and the establishment of a new data organization.

As an information architect, you will be a key person in Ving's information management program.

You will:

• Map and analyze the organization's data sources and analytical needs.

• Design information models, data flows, and conceptual solutions to be implemented by Ving's data team.

• Gradually renew and migrate existing DW, marts, cubes, and reports to Fabric datasets and Power BI.

• Establish a data catalog, information architecture, and fundamental data governance.

• Support business areas in understanding, structuring, and prioritizing their data and analytical needs.

• Lead workshops and anchor decisions with business leaders and product owners.

The role is placed in Ving's development team for Data & Integration and reports to the Engineering Manager for this team. As an information architect at Ving, you will also be part of the Enterprise Architecture grouping and collaborate closely with other architects, which also provides an opportunity to contribute to the overall EA work.

By establishing Fabric and a sustainable information architecture, Ving lays the foundation for more advanced analytics, AI, and data science in the future – here you will be a central enabler.

Here you will have the chance to drive a modernization journey that impacts the entire Ving organization. You will be part of a competent team with great freedom to influence methodology and working methods, and you will help build the foundation for long-term data and information management.

You are passionate about creating order in data and have a strong analytical mindset. You are used to translating business requirements into data models and flows, and you communicate complex relationships clearly.

We see that you have:

• Experience as an information architect, data architect, or BI architect.

• Good understanding of information modeling, data catalogs, and metadata management.

• Experience with BI solutions, preferably Microsoft (Synapse, Power BI, SSAS, SSRS).

• Interest and curiosity about Microsoft Fabric and modern data and analytics platforms.

• Experience working closely with both business and development teams.

Meritorious:

• Experience establishing data governance and data organization.

• Knowledge of cloud data platforms, especially Azure.

• Understanding of agile working methods and iterative modernization.

• Knowledge of data usage for process optimization or predictive analytics.

Ving's IT department in Stockholm consists of 13 development teams that together drive development forward. The systems are built in a modern Microsoft environment with technologies, frameworks, and tools such as .NET Core, C#, Node, Azure, React, React Native, JavaScript, GraphQL, MS-SQL, and Redis.
