We are now looking for one or more case officers for EU and international issues related to crime prevention, particularly in the areas of the Police Authority at the Unit for Internal Security at the Ministry of Justice. The tasks primarily consist of handling issues from an international perspective, mainly in an EU context, and safeguarding Sweden's interests in international collaborations. The tasks may also include contributing in various ways to the government's management of the Police Authority and developing the government's policies in the area of crime prevention. Foreign travel is included in the position.

Your background
We are looking for someone with an academic degree or other comparable education, primarily in law or social sciences. Furthermore, you have experience working as a case officer with complex issues in the Government Offices or at a strategic level in another government agency, as well as experience collaborating with international organizations. You also have the ability to express yourself well in both Swedish and English, in both speech and writing.
Experience in EU negotiations, as well as other international negotiations, in the last five years is an advantage, as is experience working in or collaborating with an EU institution/agency. Good knowledge of crime prevention activities, EU institutions, and associated working methods and processes, as well as knowledge of the governance of government agencies, is also advantageous.

The position involves one or more employments, with both permanent and fixed-term contracts. For permanent employment, a six-month probationary period applies. The position is classified in a security class, and a security clearance with a background check will be conducted before a hiring decision is made. You must be a Swedish citizen, but you may have a foreign background.
