As a corporate lawyer at Swedavia, you will combine qualified environmental law with business-oriented problem-solving in an organization that is constantly evolving.

Swedavia Legal currently consists of seven lawyers and is now looking for another colleague to strengthen the team in environmental law. You will become an advisory partner in environmental legal matters concerning everything from land exploitation and complex contracts to compliance and environmental permits. Here, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference, both for the airports of the future and for sustainable community development.

What does the role entail? Your main responsibilities include ongoing environmental legal and, to some extent, business legal advice to Swedavia's airports and corporate units. In your role, you will work with a range of environmental legal issues regarding, for example, permit and supervision matters, contaminated land, water activities, waste, and chemicals, and you will independently handle environmental assessments. Your role also includes providing legal support in matters concerning the Planning and Building Act and educating and guiding internal staff to ensure that the organization acts in accordance with applicable regulations. You will take responsibility for your own assignments while working closely with our environmental lawyer to develop and strengthen our legal support in the area.

Who are you? We are looking for someone who has:

  • a law degree

  • at least five years of experience working with environmental law and environmental assessments from a law firm, authority, and/or corporate legal practice

  • excellent ability to express yourself well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing

  • experience in contract law and/or property law is an advantage

You are meticulous and analytical with an outgoing and service-oriented approach. You have the ability to work independently with great responsibility, but you also appreciate collaborating closely with colleagues and contributing to the team's development. You enjoy working closely with the business with a commercial mindset and are used to a fast-paced environment.

We would like you to be pedagogical and comfortable in conducting training sessions. As a person, you are unpretentious, proactive, and have a knack for prioritizing to deliver on time. You have high integrity and appreciate being part of an engaged team.

What do we offer you? Swedavia AB is a wholly state-owned company that owns and operates ten airports in Sweden. The group has approximately 2,600 employees and a turnover of 6.3 billion SEK. Here, you will find a unique workplace with energy and atmosphere where you can make a real difference. We offer you the opportunity to become part of our dedicated and professional legal team. You will work with current and exciting legal issues in environmental law while Swedavia's broad operations offer great opportunities for development.

The position is located at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, and you will belong to the Legal & Governance unit and report to the Chief Legal Officer. The role involves working closely with the business, but there is also some opportunity for remote work within the framework of Swedavia's guidelines for flexible work.

If you have questions about the position, please feel free to contact the corporate lawyers:

For an objective and fair recruitment process, we use psychological tests as part of the selection process.

As airports are a security-classified operation, all candidates who proceed in the recruitment process undergo a background check. Before employment, a security clearance is also conducted. Swedavia is also a drug-free workplace with a zero-tolerance policy towards drugs. Drug tests are conducted before employment and randomly during employment.
