Experienced Accountant with System Interest Wanted

SJR is looking for an experienced Accountant with a strong interest in systems, preferably with knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, for an exciting consulting assignment. The assignment lasts for approximately 12 months with a desired start in mid-April. As a consultant, you will be employed by SJR and rented out to an international company with an office in Södertälje, where you are expected to work on-site three days a week and have the opportunity to work remotely on the remaining days.

About the Position

In this role, you will work as a Subject Matter Expert in general accounting and be responsible for driving, developing, and ensuring the quality of processes within the accounting area. You will be a key person in the global work on process improvements and collaborate closely with both finance, GPO functions, and various business areas within the organization. The role suits you if you thrive in a development-oriented environment and want to contribute both operationally and strategically.

Responsibilities

• Drive and support process improvements in general accounting
• Prepare, formulate, and anchor business requirements
• Contribute business insights and conduct process analyses
• Ensure quality in processes, policies, and DTPs
• Update and maintain process documentation in ARIS
• Provide support in process and tool-related questions
• Act as second line support for the process area
• Collaborate with GPOs, SMEs, and LPRs on development and alignment
• Conduct training and support super users
• Contribute to the continuous improvement work in the organization

Suitable Background

You have several years of experience as an accountant and feel comfortable with general accounting processes. You have worked in larger, preferably international, organizations and enjoy working in a structured and quality-conscious manner. Experience in process work and improvement initiatives is important, and it is strongly meritorious if you have previously worked in SAP S/4HANA or have a good understanding of how ERP standard functionality can support accounting flows. You also have good system skills, especially in MS Office and relevant reporting and support systems. Good knowledge of English is a requirement.
