Senior Leadership Developer at the Swedish Public Employment Service

Job Description

As a senior leadership developer in the HR department, you will be responsible for developing managers' ability to lead the organization. The work involves strategic leadership development, building structures for leadership development, and implementing development initiatives for managers.

Your main task is to develop the agency's common direction for leadership and employee culture and how it is applied in governing and supporting processes, as well as ensuring that the agency's leadership development is integrated with the agency's strategic direction.

A central task is to design development initiatives for managers at all levels and to strengthen management teams' ability to lead and govern the organization effectively.

The work involves analyzing needs and planning, implementing, and evaluating various types of development initiatives, such as management programs and tailored initiatives for management teams. The assignment includes both conducting development initiatives yourself and procuring and specifying assignments to external suppliers.

The position is a permanent full-time employment that may start with a six-month probationary period. The place of employment is Solna.

Basic Requirements for the Position

  • University education (psychology or behavioral science) of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits according to the previous system)
  • At least ten years of experience in internal and external consulting work within the field of organization and leadership, including experience working at the highest management level
  • Documented further education in the field of work and organizational psychology
  • Documented experience of independently driving and coordinating organization-wide processes/initiatives/projects

Other Merits for the Position

  • Experience working in a larger organization, preferably from a government agency
  • Further education in OBM and/or change management and experience applying this practically in development work
  • Experience in strategic work within the field of organization and leadership
  • Documented experience of writing reports or other publications in the field
  • Experience in procurement and requirements specification against suppliers

The assignment requires very good communication skills both orally and in writing and an ability to lead conversations and dialogues, both in small and large groups, as well as a well-developed collaborative ability. The ability to create trust and good relationships and to be a professionally secure support with strong integrity will be crucial for your success in the role of senior leadership developer. You also need to be structured and have analytical and creative thinking.
