Lawyer at the Inheritance Unit

The General Inheritance Fund was established in 1928 when the inheritance rights for cousins ceased. The Inheritance Fund inherits if there are no eligible heirs. The mission of the Inheritance Fund is to finance non-profit projects for children and young people, and it also contributes to renovations, new constructions, and extensions in such operations.

Today, the Inheritance Unit employs 25 lawyers, economists, and administrators. Together with Project Units 1, 2, and 3, as well as the Support and Follow-up Unit, we form the Inheritance Fund Department with a total of 75 employees.

Job Description

The main task for the lawyers at the Inheritance Unit is to collaborate with the guardians of the Inheritance Fund to handle issues arising from the liquidation of estates where the Inheritance Fund is an estate co-owner. As a lawyer, you will manage several liquidation cases simultaneously. The issues span large parts of the civil law area, with inheritance law in focus. The tasks also include assessing testamentary dispositions that exclude the General Inheritance Fund from inheritance.

The position also includes working to develop the organization. This can occur within the framework of ongoing projects as well as a recurring aspect of our work with continuous improvements.

Are you our new colleague?

We are looking for someone who has:

• Swedish law degree or equivalent (180/270 credits)
• At least two years of current experience in qualified legal work

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in legal case management in public operations
• Relevant experience in inheritance law from, for example, family law or law firms
• Experience in systematic organizational development

Permanent employment starting with a six-month probationary period. The position is located in Stockholm, where we have beautiful activity-based offices in Gamla Stan.
