Job Description

As a communication strategist, you will play an important role in developing communication in Region Östergötland. You will provide qualified communication support to management, managers, and operations and be responsible for communication in connection with larger projects, activities, and changes.

In the role of communication strategist with a focus on brand and profile-creating communication, you will develop strategies to build and strengthen Region Östergötland's brand. This includes developing the region's brand platform.

Your work will involve coordinating and maintaining the planning of content and messages in the region's various channels both internally and externally together with colleagues in our communication units. You will follow the national debate, capture current topics and events, and transform them into proactive communication.

You will make strategic assessments, analyze communication needs, formulate messages, and plan, implement, and follow up on communication efforts. You will work long-term but can also deliver when time is tight and have the ability to work both strategically and operationally.

About You

You have a university degree in media and communication studies or equivalent.

You have experience in brand work in a larger organization.

You have experience leading and coaching others.

You have worked with communication both strategically and operationally and have experience working with news, social media, and web.

Experience from the public sector is an advantage.

Experience in press work and/or crisis communication is also an advantage.

You are strategic and have the ability to see different perspectives, connections, and make trade-offs. You are constructive and can easily adapt to changing conditions. You will have many contacts with various operations within the region, so you need to be attentive and have a good ability to collaborate and build relationships. Being interested in people and having an interest in social issues is essential for you to thrive with us.
