About Me:

I am a 28-year-old woman living in Huddinge, and I am now actively looking for a fantastic substitute for my assistant who is going on parental leave. The most important thing is that we have good chemistry; everything else you can learn from me or my existing assistant team.

I am a person who enjoys when things happen in my life that contribute to releasing life energy. I am very creative and enjoy creating in many different forms. In my life, it is not uncommon for me to paint, bake, create music, hang out with friends, and watch series/movies. Preferably all at the same time!

I like to travel but also enjoy taking it easy at home. I have a great sense of humor, so I will gladly add many laughs to your life!

About You:

To thrive in this role, you should be attentive and have an understanding of another person's needs, and be able to prioritize those needs. You should appreciate working both independently and in a team. It is advantageous if you have some knowledge of AAC (alternative and augmentative communication) or have an interest in learning. We would like you to be inventive and creative. You should have a positive attitude towards life, as this reflects my own outlook.

Requirements:

You must be tolerant of pets, as I sometimes move in environments where they are present. You are smoke-free during working hours. You must be proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, which is important as I communicate via AAC (alternative and augmentative communication). You should be able to accompany me on trips, as I mainly travel to my country house, but sometimes also take short leisure trips.

Meritorious:

Experience working as a personal assistant. Knowledge of AAC, especially Bliss. Experience working with individuals with disabilities.

About the Position:

As a personal assistant to me, you will assist me in living life to the fullest. The tasks vary depending on what I engage in, but regardless of what happens, you will be helpful in all aspects of life. This can range from being my arms, to structuring my days, coming up with a convenient way for me to handle cleaning - or sharing a good laugh together. Therefore, it is important to be attentive and not afraid to try something new. What matters is not what you already know, but how receptive you are to learning how I want to live my life.

The position is a parental substitute for 75% for one year, with the possibility of extension. The work is primarily during the day, but evening and weekend work occurs regularly (awake nights may also occur in exceptional cases). Start date according to agreement. There is also the possibility to take extra shifts and increase your hours. It also includes a paid staffing responsibility where you share staffing duties during illness with other colleagues.

Staffing:

This position includes an extended (and paid) staffing responsibility, which means that some weeks you must be available at times other than working hours, to call in a substitute or step in yourself when intervention is required. This is Assistans i Balans's way of ensuring that our clients always have a familiar assistant by their side. The assignment is shared by all assistants working according to a regular schedule.
