About the assignment

The client, a government authority, is one of Europe's leading research institutes in security. The authority works on behalf of other government agencies, municipalities, and companies. The research is conducted both from a long-term perspective for knowledge-building activities and in more knowledge-applying activities. The assignment starts immediately and has working hours from 08:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday. This is a consulting assignment via Bemannia, located at our client in Linköping. This position is security classified, and therefore a security clearance and a background check will be conducted.

Your tasks

The IT support acts as the face of the IT department, where you will provide support regarding IT and telecommunication issues. Most work is done over the phone or computer, but sometimes the support team receives visits from the authority's staff. The IT department's area of responsibility includes user support, server operations, networks, storage/backup, system administration, and IT security. Furthermore, the IT department is responsible for video systems, telephone exchanges, mobile phones, printers, and copiers. Cases are registered in the case management system Nilex. The first line support currently handles about 800 cases per month. Some cases are resolved by the support team themselves, while other more advanced cases are forwarded to second or third line support within the IT department.

Your qualifications

• One (1) year of work experience from previous user support roles
• Good knowledge of general IT support/troubleshooting and user support
• Knowledge of Windows, MS Office, Linux, Active Directory, client hardware
• Good social skills
• Fluent communication in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Approved high school diploma
