Do you want to make a real difference? Here you contribute to creating safety for people and communities. What you do matters.
Your Role
Does flight safety, optimized accessibility, and cost-effectiveness sound exciting, important, and interesting? Are you meticulous, structured, and technically inclined with a problem-solving and attentive approach? Then you might be our next colleague!
In the CAMO and Logistic Services department, every task is part of ensuring continuous airworthiness. As a systems engineer within CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization), you will work with technical documentation and updates of aircraft maintenance on behalf of our internal and external customers in their material systems. Our largest business partner is the Swedish Armed Forces, for whom the section performs maintenance planning and operational and configuration updates for aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aerial systems.
The internal and external interfaces are many, and information management from several complex and technically advanced systems is everyday life for the teams. Furthermore, you will work with user support for the system and participate in various development projects related to Saab's export business. The section develops and conducts training within the Fleet Management systems Fenix and AMMS (both of which have their origins in Maintenix).
The position includes some travel, primarily domestic but also international may become relevant in the long term.
Your Profile
Meticulous, service-oriented, communicative, attentive, and development-oriented are key words for the qualities we seek in our next employee. But there are more relevant abilities to succeed in the role.
The position involves many contact points, and your ability to collaborate and build and maintain relationships will be an important part. Well-developed self-leadership with the ability and willingness to structure your work and take initiative within given regulations will be a success factor. You see solutions in problems and can pick up on others' needs. Your personal development is important to us, and in the long term, there are good development opportunities within the department depending on aptitude, background, and interest.
To succeed and thrive in the position, we see that you have a university or college degree, preferably in aviation engineering. Alternatively, a high school education in, for example, aviation technology, combined with a few years of work experience.
Furthermore, you will also need to have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
It is advantageous if you have:
- Experience in aircraft maintenance in roles such as technician, systems engineer, or production planner
- Education and/or experience in maintenance planning
- Experience regarding the interpretation of maintenance directives and regulations EMAR, ICAO, IATA, and EASA in the role of systems engineer/planning engineer within CAMO.
- Documented experience of other work related to continuous airworthiness.
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations at any given time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
What You Will Be Part Of
The CAMO and Logistic Services department consists of six sections and has over 100 employees located in Linköping, Arboga, Såtenäs, Luleå, Växjö, and Uppsala. We work, among other things, with customizing maintenance information, operational follow-up, system management, and logistics planning, as well as developing governing routines and regulations for our customers' maintenance operations. Our main customers in Sweden are the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) and the Swedish Armed Forces (FM). The department also works on larger projects within Saab.
Behind our innovations are all those who have made it possible. Brave pioneers and clever thinkers. Everyday heroes and creative problem solvers. Those who share deep knowledge and those who explore new areas. And everyone in between.
Here you have the chance to influence and contribute in your unique way. Everything from developing code and building impressive defense and security solutions to having a coffee with a colleague. Every contribution counts. We give you the opportunity to take on challenges and create smart innovations. In our friendly and tech-savvy world, there is room for you to grow. We are here to create safety for people and communities together.
