The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, detention centers, and client transport.

Our core mission is to ensure that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service has a functional, tailored, and stable IT environment for our 20,000 internal users across approximately 145 operational sites. The work is highly varied and offers great opportunities for development in the field.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Problem Manager with us, you will be part of a process team where you take overall responsibility for Problem Management and drive the development of processes and methods according to ITIL. You will play a key role in developing and optimizing the stability and performance of IT services. You will work both operationally and strategically to identify, analyze, and resolve problems, focusing on minimizing disruptions and maximizing user satisfaction while ensuring that IT services function optimally and meet the needs of the organization. You will measure and follow up on the effects of implemented measures.
We are looking for someone with a good understanding of IT infrastructure and how different IT components interact. The role requires a strong ability to collaborate and communicate with various roles within the organization, from support and operations to technical and application development.
QUALIFICATIONS
For the role of Problem Manager, we are looking for someone who plans, organizes, and prioritizes work effectively. You are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your approach. You communicate clearly and listen and are receptive to the other party. You are quality-conscious and flexible.

We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree in IT/computer science or other education combined with work experience that we consider relevant for the position.
- Several years of experience working in IT in complex IT environments.
- Good technical knowledge.
- The ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.
It is advantageous if you have:
- Experience in managing and developing processes within the ITIL framework.
- Experience working with IT across multiple units in a dispersed national organization.
- Certification in ITIL.
OTHER
We have high demands on our employees' security and confidentiality awareness. To work with us, you need to undergo a security clearance in accordance with the Security Protection Act. The position is classified in a security class, and a security clearance including an interview with a background check will be conducted before a hiring decision is made. During the security clearance, your personal background and relationships will be investigated from a security perspective. You need to be a Swedish citizen but may have a foreign background.
