Network Technician Specializing in Firewalls

We are looking for an engaged and technically skilled network technician specializing in firewalls. In this role with our client in Linköping, you will work alongside architects and other technicians to design and implement secure and efficient network solutions that comply with the required security standards. You will play a central role in ensuring the secure and stable operation of our networks.

Responsibilities

As a network technician, you will be responsible for installing and configuring network infrastructure with a focus on security. You will actively monitor, maintain, and improve network performance. By collaborating with other teams, you will contribute to optimizing and securing our solutions. Your work will also include conducting risk analyses and assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.

Your specific tasks include:

• Installing and configuring firewalls and security solutions.
• Monitoring and maintaining network performance and security.
• Developing and implementing security policies and procedures to ensure robust protection.
• Troubleshooting and resolving network issues and managing security incidents quickly and effectively.
• Collaborating with other technical teams to continuously optimize and improve our network solutions.
• Conducting risk analyses and vulnerability assessments to prevent security issues.

Your Profile and Qualifications

To succeed in the role of network technician, we see that you have a solid technical background in IT and network security, with specific experience in firewalls. You are accustomed to working independently but also appreciate collaborating in a team. Experience in complex network environments and security solutions is an important part of your background.

We prefer that you have:

• A relevant education in IT or network technology, or equivalent work experience.
• Documented experience working with firewalls, such as solutions from Cisco, Fortinet, or Palo Alto.
• Good understanding of network protocols and topologies, which helps you manage and solve problems effectively.
• Certifications in network or security technology are advantageous.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others, with a structured and solution-oriented approach.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Extensive experience working with firewalls, which is a requirement for this role.
