Your Role

As an IT Architect in Saab's IT department, you will have the opportunity to work in several exciting areas based on your preferences, skills, and ambitions for development. We believe in "on the job training" and you will work with many driven and talented people in various constellations, thereby developing both personally and helping to develop other colleagues. You will be part of a competency grouping with several other IT Architects and Business Analysts where we work both individually and in teams.

As an IT Architect within Infrastructure, you will be involved in creating and designing our future technical platform. To thrive with us, you enjoy switching between different perspectives and can combine strategic thinking with operational execution. As an IT Architect, you are responsible for ensuring that IT solutions are designed and realized correctly according to regulatory requirements, business needs, and in relation to other IT solutions. You ensure that the enterprise-wide architecture principles and guidelines regarding standards are followed in the technical architecture and you make conscious choices to create maximum value for the business.

Your main tasks will include:

• Analyzing requirements and needs
• Designing solution proposals for Infrastructure from various perspectives
• Acting as an expert and supporting service managers/service owners
• Creating decision support for both business decisions and technical choices
• Ensuring compliance with requirements, regulations, laws, processes, standards, and policies
• Documenting solutions
• Presenting and communicating solutions to different target groups and in various forums

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who can switch between detail and the big picture. You can communicate and explain scenarios to different target groups. You enjoy taking initiative and can lead yourself; in return, you will have the freedom to act within the best framework to solve the task at hand. You are unpretentious and used to working in teams where knowledge is shared and help is sought from each other.

You have a background in Infrastructure and a strong interest in security. Experience in service design, IT architecture at multiple levels, and modeling is a plus but not a requirement.

The position is located in one of the following operational locations: Linköping, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Huskvarna, Karlskrona, or Karlskoga. A hybrid workplace is possible, and national and international travel may occur.

To thrive in this role, we would like you to have:

• Relevant academic degree or equivalent experience
• Several years of experience in IT, preferably in a defined architectural role
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English
• In-depth knowledge in the infrastructure area:
• Experience working with landscapes based on solutions in-house (On-premises)
• Experience with hybrid and Cloud solutions
• Experience with various types of larger Infrastructure solutions

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, there may be requirements for certain citizenships.
