Infrastructure Officer at Eksjö Garrison

Main Responsibilities

As an infrastructure officer, you will be part of the infrastructure department representing Ing 2 and the garrison in infrastructure matters. You will collaborate with representatives for local supply issues and the state's property representative, the Fortifications Agency, regarding defense properties.

You will work closely with others in the department as well as with the regiment leadership in matters that include investigations, procurement, maintenance, and decommissioning of premises and land. You will play an important role in the growth and expansion of Eksjö Garrison, including Skillingaryd, which means you will have both varied and additional tasks according to the organization's needs.

The position involves often working in project form in temporarily assembled workgroups. Therefore, you are expected to lead smaller workgroups and coordinate matters related to the project as the representative of the Armed Forces. You will be responsible for various matters and provide support to Ing 2 and the garrison's operational staff to ensure that the premises are used in a cost-effective manner.

Examples of tasks include:

  • Investigations on premises utilization
  • Support in preparing documentation for decisions and ordering property-related additional services
  • Participate in the procurement and decommissioning of land and premises
  • Act as the representative of the operations in construction projects and maintain contacts with relevant functional representatives within the Armed Forces
  • Development of needs analyses/investigations of operational adaptations
  • Support during renovations of buildings
  • Maintenance of existing buildings – ensuring maintenance and operational measures in collaboration/dialogue with the local planning unit and the Fortifications Agency

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in construction or property management, or equivalent work experience deemed relevant by the employer
  • Driver's license B for manual transmission
  • Good administrative skills
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

Meritorious

  • Experience in property management and the construction process
  • Knowledge of property law as well as occupational health and environmental legislation
  • Experience with the Armed Forces
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience with IT systems Sharepoint and SAP/Prio
