We are a cheerful team that is flexible, open-minded, self-driven, creative, and has great camaraderie and collaboration within the team.

We have been working together for several years and are now looking for another person to join our wonderful team who wants to be part of our journey and create meaningful leisure activities for our children and youth.

Our target group is children and youth in middle school, high school, and upper secondary school.

The work is primarily scheduled during evenings and weekends, and you will work both independently and in groups.

The position is 100% full-time.

Växtverket focuses heavily on collaboration with various stakeholders. We collaborate on crime prevention, promotion work, and safety issues.

Other areas we work with include the Convention on the Rights of the Child, gender equality, and diversity.

We operate according to the municipality's values and goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Work in open activities, mobile units, schools, and holiday programs.
• We are present at four different middle schools, one high school, four different youth centers, and at Växtverket.
• We apply a culture of responsibility.
• Collectively create relationships, engagement, and motivation. A central part of the role is to recognize and utilize the interests, ideas, and thoughts of the target group.
• Plan, organize, and implement a varied range of activities and events for the visitors of the program. We place great emphasis on good service and patience, as well as encouraging innovative thinking.
• All employees have their areas of responsibility. Here you have the opportunity to create your own areas of responsibility based on your interests and skills.
• Work from a promoting and salutogenic approach by offering activities that encourage participation, physical activity, and joy. The work also includes identifying early signs of ill health.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role of leisure leader, it is required that you have relevant high school education and post-secondary education. You have experience working with the target groups in high school and upper secondary school.

As a person, we see that you are self-driven, good at building relationships, flexible, proactive, creative, and capable of structuring your work. You can communicate well in Swedish, both spoken and written.

You have a good ability to collaborate and have a positive attitude towards colleagues and others you encounter in your daily work. Personal suitability will be highly valued.

Must have a Class B driver's license.

Desirable Qualifications

It is advantageous if you:

• Are a trained leisure leader, leisure educator, public health educator, social educator, or teacher
• Have experience in promoting work
• Have experience in conflict management
• Have experience in dance, music, or sports
• Have experience in community life
• Have experience working with LGBTQI issues
• Are handy
• Have experience working with the target groups in high school and upper secondary school
