We are looking for a support pedagogue for one of our child services within the social and functional support administration. The target group is children and young people with intellectual disabilities and NPF diagnoses such as autism. Our operations are based on structure, clarity, and a low-arousal approach, with the goal of creating a safe and developing environment based on each child's individual needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support pedagogue, you have in-depth knowledge and competence in the field. You may be assigned job-specific tasks within quality assurance, which may involve supporting colleagues in social documentation, implementation plans, the National Board of Health and Welfare's recommended working methods, self-control, and supervision.

Your work involves motivating and supporting children and young people during short-term stays and short-term supervision. You are expected to create a meaningful, developing, and quality service for the individual. In your work, you provide needs-adapted support so that children feel secure and are empowered in their development opportunities. You can work both independently, in groups, and in collaboration with other professionals. Your employment also includes the ability to work at other workplaces either through collaborative shifts or joint planning.

QUALIFICATIONS

We see that you have:

• Post-secondary education in the form of education at the YH level of at least 200 higher vocational education credits in an appropriate field (e.g., support pedagogue education or YH psychiatry education) University education of at least 60 credits in an appropriate field
• Driver's license for a car
• Basic knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing

We would also like you to have experience in:

• Training in and/or experience of low-arousal approaches
• Training in and/or experience of TAKK, signs as a communication tool.
• Experience working with intellectual disabilities
• Experience working with NPF diagnoses
