Are you a social worker curious about telephone counseling, assessment, and triage, and interested in development within children's and adolescents' mental health? We now have the opportunity to welcome another social worker to our wonderful team.

The counseling and assessment team is the entry point for children and young people aged 6–17 who need advice and guidance regarding mental health. Our aim is to create an organization that best meets the needs of different age groups and issues, based on diverse competencies and experiences.

The contact center for children's and adolescents' mental health is a workplace where you can thrive!

The counseling and assessment team belongs to the contact center for children's and adolescents' mental health, which is a unit within eastern primary care. The organization also includes first line services, maternal and child health psychologists. Eastern primary care consists of six health centers within Karlskrona municipality, five youth clinics in the county, and primary care rehabilitation. Our goal is to be a modern outpatient care facility where teamwork and the needs of patients are at the center.

About the Job

Your tasks will involve receiving and assessing incoming telephone calls for children and adolescents with mild, moderate, and severe mental health issues. This includes providing advice and support, assessing care needs, triaging to the appropriate level of care, and determining how urgent a case must be handled. You will have conversations with parents, young people, and other partners such as schools, student health services, social services, and health centers.

You will be part of a team where you will collaborate closely with each other on similar tasks. Together with the team, you will assess incoming referrals. In this role, you will develop cooperation with the organizations that work with children and young people both internally within the region and with various municipal services.

The workplace is located in Ronneby. In the long term, there may be opportunities for some remote work.

About You

You who are applying have a recognized degree in social work. If you have experience from child psychiatry, adult psychiatry, school health services, or similar experience working with children/adolescents/parents, this is an advantage. It is positive if you have experience and feel comfortable working with telephone counseling.

As a person, you are responsible, service-oriented, reliable, stress-resistant, and you find it easy to collaborate with others. You enjoy working in a varied and change-oriented environment together with different professions and partners. You want to develop in your profession and be involved in developing the organization. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

This position requires you to have a valid driver's license (B). Region Blekinge places all permanent staff in a crisis management role. Some of our positions are security classified, where the employee must undergo a security screening interview and background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
